Happy Anniversary to us! Jayson and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary this past weekend. Yesterday was the official day, but we celebrated it on Friday. Jayson plans our anniversary activity every odd year and I plan every even (I hate odd numbers for some odd reason..) Jayson really out did himself this year on the planning. It was seriously so much fun!
He managed to keep everything an entire secret from me for 2 weeks (Jayson isn't too good at keeping secrets from me) I literally had no idea where we were going, what we were doing and who would be watching Paislee while we celebrated. We started the evening off by dropping Paislee off at my mom's house (which surprised me because I had talked to my mom numerous times about how I had no idea what we were doing for our anniversary and she never spilled the beans!)
Next we were off to our next destination, Park City! Jayson and I never go on dates up there, mostly because it is a pretty far drive and we don't like having to make people watch Paislee 2 hours longer because of the drive. I love the feeling of Park City, the buildings and all the earthy people up there so I was thrilled to find out we would be having our date there!
We drove through main street looking at all the cute shops, drove by this fabulous barn that I wouldn't mind having one day....and then stopped and ate at the yummy Squatters! We got an appetizer (which we never do because we are cheap like that) and completely stuffed ourselves to the brim.
After we ate Jayson took me to this lovely hotel where we would be spending the night! I was SO surprised. That day I had been trying to snoop around and see if any of my stuff was missing to see if he had packed any of my stuff for a gettaway, but right before we left our house I noticed my toothbrush was still there. I was bummed because I was secretly hoping we would be spending the night somewhere fun. He pulled out a bag out of the trunk he had packed very quickly while I was in the car waiting in the drive way. He told me he forgot my present in the house so to stay in the car and close my eyes so I wouldn't see him come out with it. Little did I know he was packing a bag full of all the essentials for a one night gettaway. I was SO surprised!
Can you see how giddy I am to sleep in a king size bed?
Well the suprises weren't over. He had scheduled massages for the both of us where they come to your room with all the equipment. I had THE best massage of my life. It was this cute Irish lady who was older and had alot of experience. She put Massage Envy to shame. It was so nice and relaxing. After our massages we went and relaxed in the hot tubs which was so nice.
He also surprised me with my wedding ring! I will not go into detail about this, but let's just say I hadn't worn my ring for almost a whole year and he surprised me that night with it all polished and cleaned and ready to be worn on my finger again! haha it is a long story, but I am so happy to finally have my wedding ring back!
At 10:00 we decided to go for a treat run (this is late for me, going for a treat run at 10:00 to me now feels like a treat run in highschool when we would go at 1 in the morning. haha) then came back to the hotel where we drank some of this yummy goodness...
And both took turns giving silly toasts to one another that made us laugh at ourselves. We think we are pretty funny, see below pictures if you don't believe me...
The following morning we slept in (thank you so much mom for watching Paislee all night so I could sleep in past 8:00) ate some breakfast then hung out by the pool where the sunshine felt so good!
We ended the afternoon with some shopping at the outlet's which was so fun. I am not a shopper and have a really hard time buying things for myself, but when Jayson comes along he some how convinces me to buy stuff for myself. We left for home with a new swimming suit for everyone in our little family and a couple extra goodies for Paislee of course (ok, and maybe some new shirts too).
Nothing beats getting to spend some good quality time with my wonderful husband. It is hard to believe we have been Mr. & Mrs. for 3 years now. I'm grateful I married a man who still makes me feel like a little college girl in love. Thank you so much Jayson for putting so much thought and effort into our 3 year celebration. I love your bum!

So glad you have your ring back! haha. I was thinking of you two yesterday - hard to believe it's really already been three years! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I seriously cannot believe it, I love this post. My anniversary was this weekend too. My husband planned a 2 night stay and massage at park city TOO. although I got sick and we had to cancel last minute ha ha, but I love that our husbands think alike!
