Our VACAY!

For part of our Christmas this year my amazing parents got us a trip to Orlando Florida.  This family vacation was a little different than most, with my lil sis moving to St. Thomas (more on that to come) and my brother and sister in law having previous plans for that week it ended up being my parents, Jayson and I and my little brother Ty.  We missed everyone dearly but had just the greatest time ever! Our trip consisted of this....

Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure.  Check out how many people were there...And we went on day that was supposedly "not too crowded" The rest of the park was not too bad thankfully!
Butter beer!!! Seriously SO good!

One of Jayson's favorite rides was the Jurassic Park ride.  We both laugh cried at the end of the ride every single time (we went on it numerous times).  The first time we rode it we were all trying to escape getting wet, which we did, except we look over at dad and his glasses were like a car windshield on a rainy day and his hat was soaked.  Then, the second time we ALL got soaked but we laughed so incredibly hard when we looked over at my mom and her hair was plastered to her face from the water (she was the one the most worried about getting wet and messing up her hair) haha it was soooo funny

We spent some time with some of our close family friends
Went to Universal Studio

My mom and sister signed up to run the Disney World half marathon but since she wasn't able to come my mom had mentioned to Jayson he could run for her.  About a month before the race she told him they required ID in order to pick up her number and that he wouldn't be able to do it.  He was actually really happy about it because he hadn't ran or trained at all.  Well, two days before the race we went to pick up my mom's stuff and they gave her Hillary's number and stuff to run.  The next two days everyone was pressuring Jayson to run it. Poor Jayson..

The night before the race he finally decided he would just do it.  He didn't have running shoes or running clothes, so he had to wear my dad's running shirt and he wore his REGULAR SHOES he wears every day!  He is crazy! He woke up at 3:30 and road with my mom and the other girls running and ran the half marathon! K that seriously is amazing to me.  I can't even run a mile and he just pulled 13.1 out of his butt no problem! Of course he was pretty sore the following days to come but he finished and did awesome!

Check out those Donald Duck medals

I was such a proud wife.  I seriously got tears in my eyes when he crossed the finish line!
We did some shopping and went to the M&M store
This is where Jayson spent some relaxation time outside on the balcony of our room

Gotta love pina colada's pool side.  The weather was perfect while we were there.  Low 70's high 60's, laying out by the pool was amazing as long as the cloud's weren't covering the sun.

And of course we had to make our way to the Orlando Temple which was beautiful!

Thank you so much Mom and Dad for the amazing trip.  Jayson and I needed a fun gettaway and this was perfect.  We appreciate everything and will never forget how much fun we had!

Paislee stayed at Aunt Ceryl's house and they took amazing care of her.  It was so hard for me to leave Paislee for a whole week but it made it so nice knowing she was being taken such good care of by their family.  I expected once I got home for Paislee to come running to our arms, but it was quite the contrary.  She DID NOT want to leave her cousins and her new mommy and daddy.  It was really quite sad...She had forgotten us....so quickily too! After a few hours she was fine (yes, a few hours!) But that just reassured me that she was JUST FINE with out us for a week and that she had the time of her life.  Thanks Ceryl & Kyle for taking such good care of her!

Welcome 2011!

I know this is way late but we have been busy around the Adam house hold lately.  We rang in the new year up at our cabin at Causey Estates.  It was a blast!  Nothing like throwing the snow clothes on, loading up the fourwheelers, side by side and sleds to make the cold trek up to the cabin.  I was stuck in the side by side with Grandma and Grandpa and Brady (their big dog) holding Paislee....Let's just say I had like 5 panic attacks because I was so closterphobic and my 74 year old Grandma was driving! Oh, and not to mention I thought Paislee passed out or died because she fell asleep (I didn't know this at the time) and I couldn't get her to wake up, I'm not kidding, I was slapping her face as hard as I could and she wasn't moving so I was screaming for Grandma to stop the side by side and she couldn't hear me....Worst drive up to the cabin ever! With how tight I had Paislee bundled up I thought she had suffocated or something... BUT we made it and it was a way fun weekend with the fam!
Pais in her snow gear she got from Santee Claus

Wearing your snow pants OVER your coat is fashionable...didn't you hear?

Paislee loved riding on the tube behind the fourwheeler

One of our favorite things to do up there in the winter time is ride up to the top of the road on a four wheeler and ride down on this beauty Pais and I are sitting on...The Red Flyer...You can literally start at the top of the road and ride this puppy all the way to our cabin (which is like a mile) without stopping.  The longest and funnest sledding experience ever.  Jayson would lay down and control the sled with his hands while I layed on top of him.  I think I almost peed my pants from laughing so hard.
When we got to the cabin there was like 4 or 5 feet of snow.  It made for a fun time!

We played tons of games with the fam and Hill and Kellen (her friend) built this tower of dominos. Pretty impressive eh?

New Years Eve night my Mom made the best dinner ever! My favorite, Alaskan king CRAB legs and STEAK.  We indulged.... It was so delicious and we spent the rest of the night playing games and laughing.  With my old age I struggle so hard to stay up till midnight.  The last two years I think I haven't made it....But this year Jayson made sure I was up till midnight for his new years kiss.

We had such a fun and relaxing time and we couldn't have asked for a better way to ring in the new year!
