Baby Blessing

Paislee was blessed this past Sunday and oh how fun it was! I had so many mixed emotions about Paislee's big day. I of course was incredibly excited for Paislee to be blessed, but a part of me was really sad... Just the thought of my little girl being blessed brought me to tears. Is she really growing up already?? I am totally going to be one of those moms that cries at every single milestone in Paislee's life. For instance like when she poops for the first time in the big girl potty, I will cry. When she says my name for the first time, I will cry. When she goes to Kindergarden for the first time, I will cry, and so on and so forth. I look forward to the future so much but I want my little girl to stay little forever! Anyways, Jayson did an amazing job with the blessing and Paislee didn't make one noise (which I was worried she would cry the whole time or something). It was also very special because Paislee wore the same blessing dress I wore when I was blessed. She looked so darling! It was so fun to have all of our family over after to have brunch and to celebrate. Here are a few pictures from the day!

Paislee's face in this picture is priceless!

Update!

Holy smokes time goes by so incredibly fast these days. I have found since being a stay at home mom how easy it is to lose track of what day it is. The days and weeks go by so fast I can hardly believe it. Jayson has been SO busy with his business I feel like I have hardly seen him the past week. Even though we miss him so much during the day I am grateful he works so hard. Only 1 more week till the season is over! I can't believe it is already October and Paislee is almost 6 weeks old! She is already getting so big! Here are a few fun facts about my little Paislee Ann:

  • She is starting to smile so much! It is so fun to look at her and talk to her and have her react with a cute little grin.
  • She LOVES the sound of running water. It makes her stop crying the instant she hears it.
  • She loves the sun! She will stop crying the second she is outside in the sun. She loves being outside any time of day.
  • She has started to discover her voice. I love hearing her little goo's and squeel's.
  • She only wakes up once in the night! Usually between 4:00-6:00 depending on what time we put her to sleep. She is already sleeping so good!
  • I FINALLY don't feel like I breastfeed her every second of the day. She usually eats every 3 hours in the day which gives me a nice break. She used to want to eat like every 1 1/2 hours! Takes after her mother!
  • She gets incredibly fiesty & hyper when she knows she is just about to eat. Her hands and arms go crazy and she moves her head around looking for the food frantically.
  • She has been giggling for weeks now. It is the funniest thing in the world. I need to catch it on film cause it is so stinking cute!
  • She has inherited my incredibly annoying "turret hiccups". Those of you who are close family and friends will know what I mean when I say turret hiccups. Poor little girl....
  • I can already tell she is going to be a very hyper, outgoing, crazy girl. Her personality is coming out more and more and it is so fun!
