Toddler Bed Issues...

I've been dreading the day we would have to change Paislee's crib into a toddler bed.. For numerous reasons.. First reason is it makes my heart hurt! The second the crib is gone my baby REALLY isn't a baby anymore. Tear... Second reason, I have heard alot of stories on how it can be a really hard transition.  They get out all of the time during the night, refuse naps and end up playing with their toys when it is time to be asleep.  Well we made the transition a couple weeks ago and boy are our issues different than anything i've heard!

I cried when we changed her crib over.. I know I am going to be such an annoying Mom to my children when they get older.  Kindergarden I WILL BE A MESS! haha the great news is she has done amazing! Sleeps completely through the night still, goes down for her naps as easy as can be and half the time she just yells in her room when she's awake for me to come get her.  But boy does she feel pretty dang cool when she gets out and walks to wherever I am and says, "Mom! Look! I wake up!" It has been so easy as if nothing has even changed. I have lucked out majorily with this child of mine.  BUT.........We have our own little issues... Read on...

For some reason the people on my side of the family (aka Matt & Ty..okay and me) have been known to be sleep walkers and talkers.  We always have a funny story to talk about at Sunday dinner when it comes to this topic.  I noticed in Fish Lake since I was sleeping right next to Paislee every night that she talked ALOT in her sleep.. Which led me to wonder if she would be a sleep walker like some of the others. With her in a crib I never thought twice about it but did notice she was always ALL over the place every night. Just recently Paislee slept walked into our bedroom and it was HILARIOUS! It was 8:00 and she walked in with that "glazed eyes" look.  Then proceeded to make herself comfy in the hallway.....
(where she ended on another sleep walking episode)
Now that she can get in and out of her bed I believe this may cause a problem for this poor child.  Last night, I went and checked on her two different times in the night, first time she was asleep at the bottom of the dresser, second time she was almost underneath her bed.  When I would get her to move her back into her bed she'd wake up all nervous because she didn't know where she was. I woke up numerous times in the night to her yelling different things like, "DINOSAUR! DINOSAUR!" and "GO AWAY!!" haha

She has definiately got some Wood gene inside of her thats for sure.  Just cross your fingers she doesn't hurt herself in her little sleep walking adventures.  She's learned how to open the door by herself now so looks like I'll be pulling out the child hand locks :)
