And so the traditions begin....

Once we hit the month of July tons of FUN family traditions begin.  July is probably one of my favorite months for this reason.  The first tradition of the month: Oakley Rodeo!
We always stop at Taggart's for dinner as a family on our way up to the rodeo.  If you haven't been there, take the fun drive up through Morgan and eat here. It makes for a fun date night!
We always have so much fun at the rodeo.  Jayson tends to get into it and I'm not gonna lie, I scream the whole time too.... Paislee was 100% entertained the entire time.

She found a rock that she just HAD to carry around with her while we were there.
After the rodeo we drove up to Woodland where we spent the night playing games and camping.  The following day we played at the pool, watched an intense game of 21 on the basketball court (Jayson and Dad vs. Conner and Ty) HILARIOUS! and played at the park and walked around the campground.

Thanks so much Mom & Dad for all the fun! Can't wait for next year!

From the beginning...

So I have fallen very behind on my posting lately. There has just been so much going on and little time and or desire to visit the blogging world. I have decided over the next week I will do a few different posts instead of hitting you with one massive post with hundreds of pictures.  I will start from the beginning....

First of June (the 8th to be exact) we celebrated my 23rd birthday.  Jayson took me to my favorite restaurant Tepanyaki and spoiled the heck out of me with all the thoughtful, fabulous gifts he got me.  The best part of it all was he made me a birthday cake all by himself. Frosting from scratch and all!!!
The yummiest cake ever!

We then took a fun gettaway down to St. George.  Jayson and some friends were in the summer games basketball tournament in Cedar City. It was fun to watch him play.

This is his basketball stance....

Although the trip was quick (Thursday to Saturday) we had a fun time in the pool and relaxing all day Friday when he didn't have any games.  On our way home we of course had to stop by Cabelas...

My little brother Ty has wanted a puppy SO bad for a really long time.  After Christmas and Easter went by and he hadn't received a puppy he was convinced it was never going to happen.  On our way home from St. George we stopped in Payson (we were following my parents) where my dad had some "business" to take care of.  We all got out and walked into this guys house back to where he had all these puppies.  Ty had no clue what was going on still.. Then my dad said, "Ty, pick one out".  It was the cutest thing to watch as Ty found out and picked his pup.  He started crying because he was so excited!

Meet Mccoy, the newest member of the Wood Family

Talk about the cutest birthday present ever!?
We then celebrated Ty's birthday a couple days later at Texas Roadhouse.

I can't believe this boy is THIRTEEN! Ty has always been more like my child than my brother.  I say this because when he was born I was 10 years old and at the age where I loved babies.  I spent so much time with him.  He was my little buddy who I did everything with and liked to teach everything I knew to.  He would sleep in my bed every night I was home literally till the day I was married.  We would tell stories and say prayers together and I always just felt like he was my little child.  I can't believe he is a teenager now!! That is just so weird!

Stay tuned to see how fun our July has been this year!

My Show...

I'm not usually a big t.v. person.  I have my occasional show I like to watch here and there, I record tons of show series, but rarely do I ever go back and watch them.  I must admit there is one show that I am completely and 100% devoted to.  The Bachelor! Oh geez I love it.  I have NEVER missed a season of the Bachelor or Bachelorette and probably never even missed an episode.  It's been going on for like 10 years, so that means I was like 13 when I started watching it....ridiculous.  BUT, I gosh darn love it.  It really is like one of the stupidest shows out there, but the drama just entertains the heck out of me.  I have no drama in my life thank goodness and I never really have had any drama in my life so this show provides so much entertainment. I feel giddy like a girl on Christmas morning when each new season starts. I must say, this season of the Bachelorette with Ashley is THE WORST i've seen...
Although this season really is annoying  and it just seems more fake this season than ever before, BUT I still love it. haha It is pretty ridiculous but I still get so giddy everytime Monday comes around knowing I get to cuddle in my blanket with a pack of oreo's and milk and get absorbed in this show that basically just kills my brain cells and doesn't make me any smarter for watching it. I am not sure what to think of all the guys.. I really loved William at first, but now I'm not so sure about him. Ryan I like but maybe a little too animated?? J.P. and Ashley are way cute together and I kinda think Lucas, who they don't ever really show, might be cute?? What do you think? Oh I'm so happy its Monday!!!!

p.s. I secretly wish I could go on this show so bad, if I wasn't married and didn't have the religious views that I do I would TOTALLY do it! haha

Una Ves Al Mes!

Una ves al mes!! Once a month!! I have finally made it to the stage where I only have to have blood work once a month.  It really is hard to believe it is already here.  Time has gone by so fast.  Now I only have 6 months left which means only 6 more pokes! Considering I was doing 4 -6 pokes a month that sounds AMAZING! I am so happy and grateful everything has continued to go so well and my count has stayed at zero all this time.  Now that it is only once a month I am positive time will go by even faster.

Rachael is having her baby girl next month and my sister-in-law Ceryl is having her baby boy the next month. I am ecstatic!  Although it is crazy to me to believe I would have been having another baby of my own only 6-8 weeks later I am so grateful everything has worked out how it has.  As time has gone by I have realized SO many positive things about waiting to have another baby. Paislee will be at the youngest 3 when baby # 2 comes which means she will be almost a whole year older than if I had a baby this October.  She will be much more independent, sleeping solid in a big girl bed and hopefully completely potty trained.  She will also be old enough to realize what is going on and be able to be my little helper. She will be able to communicate better. These are all such positive things that will make having 2 kids ALOT easier on us as parents.  Maybe Heavenly Father knew that if I had a baby any earlier I might turn into a crazy psycho mom or something having to deal with a busy toddler and newborn at the same time. haha Who knows what the reason is, but I am incredibly thankful for this time I have to focus on my Paiser Pie and enjoy every split second out of her little life.

I am SO excited for my niece and nephew to be born so soon.  I will get to have my new born fix and gobble up all their little baby goodness that I love so much.  And when they cry, hand them back to mom.  haha I thought it might be hard to have these newborns around so close to when I would have been having a newborn of my own, but it will be quite the contrary.  I feel no sadness, only happiness for my family and friends who are all having babies around this time.  I feel so blessed in my life and know everything will work out for the best for us when the timing is right!

Homeless girls...

Based off of this picture you would think my child is homeless... I pinky promise her mother takes care of her and makes her look cute sometimes... I will admit I can't do hair.  Poor Pais has no hope for having cute hair as a little girl.  Hopefully one day I will learn.
Pais and I enjoy our "homeless" days.  I stay in my pj's, skip taking a shower (I do brush my teeth which gives me some points) and spend the day relaxing in my greasiness.  Pais will wear her pj's till she makes a mess all over them at lunch time, then, if it were up to me spend the rest of the day hanging out in her diaper.  BUT Pais takes her diaper off if she doesn't have pants on, so going shirtless is the next best thing.  I would go shirtless all day if I could. In fact, I wouldn't mind spending the whole day in my birthday suite. This probably doesn't surprise many of you, but I'm sure other's might find this odd of me.
I love with ALL of my heart Paislee and I's homeless days.  Jayson may come home from work to a child with a dirty face with no shirt on and a wife make-up free and greasy as can be, BUT at least we are 2 happy homeless girls!

Yay Brother & Sister!

Two really great things occurred just recently in the Wood family.  First and foremost, my little brother Ty (aka Tee Why) graduated from the 6th grade!! It's hard to believe he still has Jr. High and Highschool left, since the rest of us kids have been done with that stuff for awhile now.  I sure am grateful Tee Why is around to keep us all young around here!

Pais loves her Uncle T more than anyone else in this world basically... He is such a great Uncle to her and every time we are over there basically Ty takes over and plays with the girls.  He's so proud that he recently taught Pais to say "Oops! I farted! It's STIIIIINKY!"

The second great news is that my little sister Hillary will now be a co-worker of mine! While she was in St. Thomas I mentioned to Dr. Egbert (the surgeon I work for) that Hill wanted to intern in a doctor's office to get some experience.  Soon after one of the girls there had to quit which opened up a spot.  I talked Hillary up to Dr. Egbert every time I was there cause I knew this would be such a good opportunity for her (and because she's great of course!) and 3 days after she got home from St. Thomas she came to work with me to see if she even liked it (you have to be able to assist in some pretty bloody surgeries and stand on your feet all day) and she did great!! Dr. Egbert offered her a job and now when I go to work on Tuesdays she will be one of the girls I work with! It has been fun being able to train her and teach her everything.  Nothing beats having a sister follow in your foot steps :)

Dirty Dashin It

Yes, it is true, I Kylee Ann Adam completed my very first race! What a joyous occasion! The Dirty Dash had to be the best first race a girl could ask for.  It was some SERIOUS fun.  With all the stuff going on throughout the race it kept me entertained enough that I forgot I was even running.  If you don't know what the Dirty Dash is, click HERE to see.
Bring on the dirt!
Everyone on my side of the family participated except for Rach who is very much preggo at this time
The after math.... I wish so bad I had some action shots from the race because I had me some good laugh attacks watching my family do all of the obstacles that were along the way.

A mile or so into the race my brother was running in front of me and out of no where pulled his pants down and threw his shorts at me.  I threw them on the ground and he ran the rest of the way in his whitey tightys.

Hill and I stuck together most of the way.  Her socks kept coming down and she was getting blisters so that wasn't fun for her.  I haven't ran since high school so it was a good excuse to stop and take some breaks :)

The best part was running my first race with Jayson.  Although he does Cross fit and could seriously whoop my trash on this race he ran by my side the whole time.
There was a half a mile or so during the race that my eyes were caked in mud and I couldn't see where I was going. Jayson held my hand to guide me.  It looked really cheesy at the time but I literally had mud caked in my eyelashes and couldn't open them!

What a fun new tradition! Thanks Mom for signing us all up for this race.  It was seriously a blast! I can hardly wait till next year!!! (Although I can't wait to run it again I am hoping I will be a spectator at next years race, if you know what I mean..)
