We had so many fun family parties to go to this month, which is what makes December so great. You get to see your family, LOTS! I wondered how Paislee would do with Santa this year.. I figured she would probably cry since she is pretty timid around new people at first, but she did great!
I'm pretty sure Jayson's mom's side of the family has THE BEST Santa and Mrs. Claus EVER! They bring pictures of them at the north pole and when Santa gives each child their gift, Mrs. Claus reads in her special book about how that child has been this last year... He's the real deal people...
Paislee listening intently to Santa's stories
She asked Santa for a new baby and puzzles... I hope her wish lists stays this easy till she goes away to college...haha
We made sure to fit in all the festive things and traditions you do in December.. I think our gingerbread house making this year we spent 80% of the time eating the house instead of trying to make it look pretty.
At our house through the month of December we have a mischevious elf named Ernnie who plays funny tricks and watches to make sure Paislee is being a good girl and staying on the nice list. He is so sneaky and quick so we can NEVER catch him (thanks Ceryl for the cute idea/tradition). Paislee thought it was hilarious that Ernnie turned her bath water RED!
What a fun way to remind Pais to be a good girl and I have loved seeing how she has reacted to some of the silly tricks Ernnie has played on our family this month! We all can't wait for Ernnie to come next year!
That elf idea...what a cute little tradition! I was just thinking the other day what a fun and creative mom you are! I'm going to have to get fun ideas from you when I start having kids.
