Christmas Day 2010

This year was by far my most favorite Christmas year EVER! I remember the excitment I felt as a little kid on Christmas morning, but little did I know that my parents were probably MORE excited than I was.. There really is nothing better than sitting back and watching your children (or child) on Christmas morning when they see all of their presents.  I didn't want the presents to end... Check out this girls face when she opened up her tickle me elmo...She looked right at Jayson with this face....
As she opened each present she was so excited that she wanted to play with it and didn't want to open any others.  We had to help her open alot of her presents because she would just get so stinking excited that she just wanted to play.  It all started with the stocking....CANDY CANES!!! Holy smokes Paislee would have been happy if every present she opened were candy canes.  That was all she wanted to do the first half of christmas....Eat candy canes.. haha, she also LOVED her crayons.  Once she opened those, FORGET about opening presents, lets just color on all of them!

She really loved her tickle me Elmo.  He is her new little brother...She carries him around, feeds him candy canes and talks to him.  She got the tickle me elmo that is a robot that laughs hysterically and rolls around the ground, stands up and moves his arms.  I'm sure she thinks he really is alive.....She is in love...
We got Paislee way more toys than she needed to begin with.  But by the end of Christmas after visiting Grandparents she REALLY had more toys than she needed.  This little girl has enough to entertain her till she's 4! Some other fun things she loves are...
Her Dora the Explorer jungle gym

Coloring books and Play dough

Her new baby dolls....(we spent alot of time driving on Christmas visiting ALL of our grandparents and families, these two babies kept Paislee happy the entire time we were in the car)

And all her new books, blocks and her baby stroller.  I will have to post a picture of her with her new stroller later because it is hilarious.  She sticks everything in it and pushes it around the house. She also got a new sleeping bag to take camping!  These are just a few of her favorites.  She really got spoiled by Mom, Dad and Grandparents this year!

My husband also spoiled me this year and got me this beauty....

I have always wanted a nice camera but figured that would be something I wouldnt get till later in life.  I was SOOOO excited when I opened this puppy up.  I had NO idea! I was also excited when I opened this....

I still don't have a nativity in my house yet so I am excited I will get to put this up next year!  Jayson also got me one of these........

and some other fun things like this....
Delisioso!

Jayson got alot of hunting gear, some new pants, a new dvd player for our room, nice heavy duty shelves for our garage, the book Wooden on Leadership, a new sled :) and alot of other smaller things as well.  We got SO spoiled by both of our parents and grandparents.  We truly are so blessed to have such giving families.

I usually am way sad once Christmas is over but this year we were excited it came and went because we get to go here next week....
Oh we can hardly wait! Details on our trip to come....

Christmas Eve

The best thing about Christmas is all of the family traditions we celebrate in our families.  From spending Christmas morning at my parents  to Christmas breakfast at Grandma Rita's to opening our stockings at my in-laws Christmas day and celebrating my niece Kambree's birthday that night we have a full day Christmas Day.  BUT, some of the best Christmas traditions happen the day before, Christmas Eve....

This year I decided I wanted to start my own family tradition.... Which is that Mommy will make a big yummy Christmas Eve breakfast.  Seeing how Paislee is so little and won't remember a thing I decided to not go all out this year.  But, she really enjoyed her red eggs with green apple juice!

We love spending the afternoon at Jayson's parents eating pizza and opening up our Christmas pj's then heading over to my parents to my Wood family party for deep fried halibut, shrimp (which Jayson hates both..haha) and tons more yummy food.  Each year at this party we dress up and act out the manger scene while I play the piano and we sing Christmas songs as a family.  It really brings the spirit the night before Christmas as to why we celebrate this wonderful holiday.

The REAL fun begins after this.....BINGO!!!!! We gather as a family and play a wicked game of bingo. Probably the most intense game of bingo to say the least.  Last year we left the Wood party with 70 dollars in our pocket from winning bingo.  It makes bingo way more intense when your playing for 10's, 20's and sometimes 50's!  Unfortunately, this year we got skunked...... But these are the traditions we look forward to each year in our family.  We end the night with opening pj's from my parents and exchanging sibling gifts.  It's so much fun! It's even more fun when we match!

Thank you parents for the fun family traditions you have kept over the years.  It really makes the Christmas season time SO much fun.  We love and appreciate all you do for us!

Couples Christmas Party

Jayson and I had all my girlfriends and their husbands over to our home for an ugly sweater party/dinner.  We had a fabulous time and a scrumptious dinner! Everyone helped bring something which was way nice.  It isn't very often where we all get together as couples since people live all over the place so it was nice to have everyone together (minus Marianne/Dan and Sam/Bryan, we sure missed them!) It was so fun sitting around eating a yummy dinner and talking.  We of course played some killer games after dinner (which a few couples had to leave at that point so we didn't get any pictures of them) We have course had a white elephant gift exchange which was HILARIOUS to say the least.  One of the best yet! Followed by a fun game where each couple had to be blind folded and wrap a present together.  HILARIOUS again! And let's just say a few other games that were not really planned.....read on to hear...
Aanni & Conner, winner's of the beloved fish, Spanky and Misha! Unfortunately Spanky passed on the following day....

We won the greatest white elephant gift I have ever seen in all my years of white elephant gifting....I don't want to say what it is because we may possibly be re-gifting this for a special someone who might read this....I will have to post a picture later...let's just say it is freaking AWESOME!

Whit and Jake and their killer headbands, winners of a fart machine & Uno

Angie & Ronnie, Angie won our ugly sweater contest!

Britt and her really cool white elephant gift....I think it's a horse..haha

Sporting our ugly sweaters! Gosh we're a cute couple..

The love birds....These two have little crushes on each other.  As you can see Ronnie is holding a dart thrower....These two came up with a way fun game (according to them) of everyone taking turns with the dart rocket and shooting at each other, BUT the rule is no one can move when the person with the dart rocket shoots it AND if you do.... YOUR OUT! haha this game turned out to be way funny.

Oh how I look forward to the friend Christmas party each year.  I am sad it is over with but excited for the many more Christmas parties to come!

Adam Family Happenings

Holy cow December has FLOWN by! We have been up to so many fun things this month.  It's so fun having lots of things to look forward to.  I love being able to spend so much time with our families.  We had the Adam Christmas party at the first of the month where we went to Golden Corral for dinner and to see the lights in Ogden.  It was a blast!

We had the Chirstensen Party (Jayson's mom's side of the family) this past week.  They have the BEST Santa Claus there that brings photos of himself at the North Pole and with the Reindeer.  Mrs. Claus always reads something out of her "naughty or nice" book about each kid as they sit on his lap.  This is what she said about Paislee, "Paislee is learning how to speak Spanish.  She loves to dance, sing and she really loves Elmo.  She has been REALLY good this year." She was for sure on the nice list! Pais was a little hesitant with Santa at first as you can see....
She LOVES candy canes.  Or anything mint for that matter

We had my office Christmas dinner at Tuscany this past Monday as well which was way yummy.  It was so fun sitting around and chatting with all my close friends from work.  I love them all!  We have two or three more Christmas parties left this month and I can hardly wait.  Christmas seriously makes me so giddy!!!

On a different note, I realized I haven't really updated recently on my little gus gus.  It is crazy how much she is learning and changing every single day.  Here are a few pictures from the last month or so of things she is doing.

Paislee loves helping mom with all my daily tasks.  From folding laundry (which she just likes to unfold what I fold....Folding laundry takes WAY longer with her around..haha but I love teaching her and seeing her catch onto things)  She does a great job helping me match the socks! This is a picture of her helping mommy cook dinner in her own little apron.
We LOVE spaghetti nights around this house. Let's just say we have ALOT of laughs around our house when it's a spaghetti night....

Paislee loves to color...on EVERYTHING.  Some how she manages to always find pens laying around the house and she colors on herself, her clothes, the bed spread, the door....you name it, I've probably scrubbed pen off of it.  I can't wait for her to open up her magic color marker's from Santa....MESS FREE!! haha
haha this is her "CHEESE!!!!" face
One of her favorite toys.  She wears it around the house, puts things in it, takes things out, puts things back in and so on and so on....
She loves to help clean.  She is always grabbing rags out of the drawers and pretends to be cleaning like mom.  From wiping down the fridge, to walking through out the house and wiping all of the walls.  She loves helping me vacume too! Oh how I look forward to her help with the chores one day. From the look of things I think she will be an easy child when it comes to chores....
Nice hair eh?
She loves eating bubbles.  She learned she could blow bubbles in the tub and while she does that she eats them too.  Oh child of mine....
I love every inch of that little girl.  I love being a mommy and watching her learn and grow every day.  She is talking like crazy, running around the house like crazy and learning new things like crazy.  I'm so happy I get to share my crazy life with this chick!

Christmas Cards

If any of you are debating on doing a Christmas card or not this year there is still time to get them done! I have been making a few cards this year for friends and family and would be more than happy to make any for anyone else who is interested.  I found this is the cheapest way to do cards because you can just email them to costco, walgreens, etc. and print them off as 5X7's for less than 50 c. each.  If you are interested....Email me at kyleeannwood@gmail.com with the pictures you want on it and the color's or style you are thinking.  I can make up a couple different ones and email it over to you and you can decide.  Here are just a couple examples of ones I have done this year..I'll be posting our family Christmas card here soon as well so stay tuned!

Silly Sensitive Sissy

K this video is SO funny. Jayson was watching Paislee yesterday and caught this funny moment on video.  If you want just skip the first minute and watch the last 2 cause the last half is funnier than the first.  For those of you who don't already know, my daughter is SUPER sensitive....Oh and don't mind that she is still in her pj's and her hair is out of control. haha
