The latest and greatest

Well I figured since it had been quite awhile since my last post that I would do a quick update (actually its not very quick..) on whats been going on in the Adam household lately. We will start off with Jayson... Now that tax season is starting up Jayson is now starting to get ready for the busy months to come. It works out nicely that during his off time with his business he is able to do taxes with his dad. Once the tax season is over, asphalt season begins! haha, Jayson is always busy doing something. He is also selling real estate right now while he has off time. I am very proud of how hard he works and how successful he is. The past two months Jayson has also been working out with a personal trainer which he has loved. He eats WAY healthy now which is hard for me because I HATE eating healthy. At least I have a reason now to have fruits and vegetables in our house so I actually have to eat them.

Whats new with me? Well, I love love LOVE being a stay at home mom. I love spending time with Paislee and having time to do things. I was telling my mom just a couple weeks ago how I feel like I am not nearly as social as I used to be. I have always been a very outgoing person and I love being around people. That has been one hard adjustment I have had to make with being a stay at home mom. Basically my only friend and person I talk to during the day is Paislee... haha A couple weeks ago my old boss, Dr. Egbert, called and asked if I would come in once a week to help out at his office. (For those of you who don't know I absolutely LOVED my job. I have worked there almost 3 years as a surgical assistant and I loved all the girls I worked with, my boss and being able to interact with patients every day) I decided that it would be so fun to work one day a week so I can get out of the house, socialize and do something I love every now and then. Leaving Paislee even for one day is SO hard for me. But by the time I come home from that one day I work I am seriously so excited that I have a whole 6 more days to spend with Paislee till I get to go do something for myself (which is funny that I consider going to work something for myself.. haha). Everything is going perfect and I am so grateful I have such a great life.

As for my little Gus Gus.... She is getting so big. We call her Gus Gus because she looks just like the mouse on Cinderella with her chubby cheeks and little button nose. She is also known as Chubby Guts around our home. I love her rolls! She just turned 5 months and she is talking SO much and her personality is getting cuter every single day. She has been sitting up by herself for over a month now, which from what I hear is quite early. She is eating big girl food too! (aka, baby food such as bananas, carrots, peas, etc.) She is obsessed with food. Her absolute fav is rice cereal. She grabs the bowl when I am not looking and tries to eat out of it like a dog....Sorry to say she is in for a long life like her mother full of food obsessions... She laughs all the time and when laying half way propped can completely lift herself back up to a sitting position. Paislee sleeps through the night (which she has for awhile now) and is so good at taking naps. She is ALWAYS so content. Everyone always asks, "is she really this happy all the time?" and it's true. She is the most laid back, content, happy child out there. I am so blessed to have such a good baby. I love her to pieces!

As for the entire fam.... WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!! Oh my goodness gracious I am so stinking excited. We are now in the process of getting the loan which let me add is quite ridiculous. Who ever thought you would have to basically provide every documentation you have ever received from the second you were born till now, plus write letter after letter about stupid stuff like "Why I love my job(that I work 1 day a week at)" and marriage certificate etc. etc.. Seriously people, do you have nothing else better to do than to sit around and ask for completely stupid things to give out a loan? They even asked for my high school report card! haha jk, but it has been quite the nightmare. Hopefully within the next few weeks it will all go through. With Jayson being self-employed and me not working I think the process has been alot longer and more nit picky than normal. They think we are stealing money..... And that our parents loaned us all the money in our bank account.... Unfortunately we have to deal with all this crap because Jayson is his own boss and doesn't have documented income..... I will keep you posted on how it goes and IF we get the home. It is just off of antelope drive in Layton. You can go Here to see what it looks like. It is not completely finished being built but basically there. I will be so sad if it doesn't go through because I picked out everything on the inside of the house so it's basically mine! Pray for us that it all works out. And if it doesn't.....I know we are not meant to live there and that Heavenly Father has plans for us to have our first home elsewhere. I'll post pictures, more info, etc. once we know if it is 100% ours.

Check out those rolls on her legs! I love them! This is one of Paislee's favorite games.

2010 Here We Come!

We are so excited for the start of a brand new year. I can hardly believe 2009 is over, but I look forward to all the fun things 2010 has in store for our family. We had such a fun Christmas this year. Even though Paislee didn't really realize what was going on (all she remembers from Christmas is the wrapping paper) it made for a fun Christmas for Jayson and I. It was so fun spending time with our families and opening up presents. We truly are blessed to have the best families in the world. My parents and Jayson's parents both spoiled us rotten this year! We love them very much and are so thankful for all of their generosity.

We went up to our cabin for New Years Eve with my side of the family which was a blast. Does it mean your getting old when you can barely stay awake till midnight? haha, last year I was pregnant and asleep during New Year's Eve, but this year I made it a personal goal to make it to midnight. It's hard when your not at like a party or something to stay up. The cabin was so relaxing and beautiful to say the least!

The whole fam on Christmas eve in our matching outfits! Thanks mom & dad!

Paislee's favorite Christmas gift (she got a new baby jumper and she absolutely loves that too!)

Jayson surprised me with this on Christmas morning. He spoiled me way bad this year with alot of way cute gifts like boots, a new black coat, jewelry, etc.

These were Jayson's favorite gifts on Christmas day. I also got him some motorcycling pants, tools, a 11X14 family picture of us, and some other fun things.

Now that it is 2010 I am so excited for all the new adventures to come. I love setting new goals for myself and it is fun to set goals as a family as well. A couple new goals I have for myself this year is to 1) be 100% in my visiting teaching this year 2) Not overly indulge myself in junk food all the time and to eat more fruits & vegetables 3) Read the New Testament. Those are just a few to start. Jayson and I have a couple new goals ourselves: 1) Save money this year to go on a romantic get away the beginning of next year 2) Do better with our family home evenings 3) Start and finish the Book of Mormon as a couple and many others as well. I love the end of the year being able to look back and see all the goals and accomplishments we were able to make. We truly were so blessed this past year as a family. Paislee was born and is completely healthy, Jayson's business doubled, Jayson and I accomplished our goal of reading the scriptures/praying EVERY single night and our relationship has grown more than I could have ever imagined. I know that if it weren't for goals, whether spiritual, physical, emotional, mental etc. that it would be hard to progress in this life. I hope all of you out there who have set goals for this new year will accomplish them and have an amazing 2010!

Us at the cabin for New Year's Eve. Paislee loved taking her first ride in the side by side!

Paislee had rice cereal for the first time on Christmas day and absolutely loved it! She seriously goes so crazy when we feed it to her cause she likes it so much. She loves her food! Takin after her mama! i'll have to post a video of her eating it cause its so funny.

SO many things to celebrate!

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAISLEE!! Today you are four months old and I can hardly believe it! You are getting so so big and chubbier by the second. I hope you enjoyed your day of going to the doctor & getting shots (makes me tear up every time), taking a three hour nap (she hasn't done that for a while!)and hanging out with dad while I finished up some shopping. You are getting so grown up. You weigh 15 lb. 10 oz (88%) and are 25 inches tall(78%)! You have a big head just like your dad. 17 inches!(94%)I love seeing you grow every day and can't wait for all the many birthdays to come. I hope you have the happiest of happy birthdays. I love you!
Second off, exactly one year ago (literally almost exactly, it was 6:00 December 22, 2008 & right now it is 6:45 December 22, 2009)I took my very first pregnancy test and found out I was pregnant! Holy cow I can't even believe that was a year ago. It is crazy how at that moment Paislee was the size of a poppy seed and now she is 4 months old. CRAZY!! Here is a picture of me seconds after I found out I was pregnant:
I had about 50 different emotions going through my head right at this moment if you cant tell

Well the rest of this month we have spent alot of time celebrating Christmas with our families and friends. I could write about it but quite frankly I think pictures are so much better so I will just show you those. Are monthly festivities are as follows:

Paislee sitting on Santa's lap at the Adam family Christmas party

Is this not the most ridiculous Santa you've ever seen? He was like 26 and definitely not experienced in the Santa category. It was SO funny. he was the back up because the real one was sick. This is Jayson's mom's side of the family Christmas party.

Jayson and I threw an ugly sweater party. It was so much fun to see everyone!

Our family in our lovely ugly sweaters

One of the white elephant gifts was a pack of fake mustaches. Lets just say the boys had a little too much fun with those. I had like three laugh attacks (tears and all) with these silly mustaches.

We went down to UVU to support Hillary and watch her perform at a boys basketball game. We had so much fun and Paislee loved wearing her shirt Auntie H got her!

Even Santa was there too!!

We have a couple more family parties these next couple of days. I can hardly wait for Christmas! I will make sure to post after Christmas to update you on the remainder of our Christmas festivities. I hope all of you have such a Merry Christmas!

My Girl

I love her more than words can explain! I am so grateful Heavenly Father blessed me with a beautiful, healthy little girl.
I need to do a shout out to Ceryl Curtis my sister in law for taking such amazing pictures of Paislee and our family. She is so talented and seriously the best!

Paislee & Mom

Paislee and I spend ALL of our time together. She loves doing things with mom and she is always such a good girl wherever we go. I couldn't ask for a better baby. She let's me go and do whatever I need or want to and is always a good little girl. I love having a little buddy to share every moment & experience with every single day. I love her so much!

We go to the Salon where Mom gets her hair done and Paislee gets her toes painted!

We love going shopping for baby clothes! This was our most recent purchase! We will make sure she wears this to all of the holiday festivities this December.

We spend alot of time just sitting and having conversations. I always pretend she understands what I am saying and when she talks I act like I know what she is saying too.

Paislee & Mom similarities:

Paislee has my long gangly toes and fingers

We are both very sensitive

She looks more like her dad but her facials are just like mine

We go to the bathroom (if you know what I mean) almost the exact same time every single day! haha, I know that is disgusting but I think it is so funny! When she goes, I know that means I'll have to go soon, and when I go I know she will be going any minute! HAHA!

She loves sleeping with one arm above her head at night, just like me!

Whenever she is mad or trying to cry if you just start talking to her in a funny voice or act really happy you can tell she tries SO hard to hold back smiling or laughing. The majority of the time she breaks down in a big grin or laugh. ( No matter how mad I am if Jayson says or does something funny it is so hard for me to hold back a smile or laugh)

She would much rather be standing on her feet moving around then laying down or sitting. It gets exhausting sometimes!

She likes being comfortable and would prefer her jammies over any cute outfit

Her nose is ALWAYS plugged in the morning and at night. I always have to blow mine, then use the snot sucker on Paislee.

We both absolutely adore Jayson and love him so so much!

p.s. for those of you who haven't given me your email make sure you do soon because I am switching to private in one week!

Month of November

This past month has been such a fun month for our family. We spent Thanksgiving down in St. George with my side of the family and had such a fun relaxing vacation. We went down Monday night and didn't get home till last night. We spent the whole week hanging out with family, EATING, shopping, taking naps, hot tubbing, golfing, bowling, playing games etc... It was so much fun to spend the whole week with my family. It was different from any year because usually we have all of our Wood side extended family together but they were all in California this year. It literally was just my parents, my siblings (that includes Rachael my sister in law) my niece and us. We really missed the Adam family Thanksgiving festivities but look forward to spending it with them next year! I am so thankful to be apart of such close families. My family has always been way close and it was so nice to marry into a wonderful family that shares that same closeness as well. I am SOOOO thankful for our little family that Jayson and I have. Paislee has been such a blessing in our lives. I married the most amazing man out there and I am grateful for how well he treats me and loves me. I am so thankful that I can be a stay at home mom and watch my beautiful daughter grow every single day. Life could not be better!

Pais is getting so so chubby! I love it!

Her first pony!

Jayson spiked he hair in this picture. You can tell how thrilled she is about her new hair style

First bath with cousin Kambree

First time taking a shower!

I love her!

Hanging out with Embree

We came home one day after running errands and lifted up her car seat cover and she was asleep like this. haha
