One Year Ago!

One year ago my adorable husband popped the big question I had literally been waiting my entire life to be asked. "Will you?" was basically all he asked (with tears in his eyes might I add). I was completely not expecting it at all because he told me we were going ring shopping the next day. Little did I know he had gone out on his own and picked the ring out weeks before. It was perfect the way he proposed. He told me his mom was having a "Jazz party" and that the whole family was going. Little did I know this whole Jazz party was just an excuse to have the whole fam over to watch the big proposal. So of course I get in all my Jazz gear and show up to see I am the only one even Jazzed up at all. Still I didn't think anything of it. There was tons of food and I kept thinking to myself "This is a big deal party for just a dumb Jazz game". Throughout the entire 1st half Jayson's nieces and nephews kept running out and saying "We made up a dance can we show you!" and every one kept saying, "just wait till half time" Finally half time came around and all the kids came out to do their dance. After they did their cute little dance they all pulled up their shirts and it said will you marry me on their bellies. I still didn't even catch on at this point until Jayson kneeled down in front of me. This is when he said "Will you?" and I just broke into tears. It was such a special night and it couldn't have been a more perfect way to propose. Last night(Feb. 8 is the actual date of proposal) to celebrate we cuddled up in our P.J.'s in our bed and watched the Jazz game together. Seeing how it was a Sunday we couldn't go out on the town but relaxing and laying in each others arms during the game was by far the best way to celebrate. I love Jayson so much and I never would have imagined a year later we'd be so happily married with a baby on the way! That was by far one of the best days of my life!

Which do you think?

Haha, okay so I thought this was so fetchin funny. I could have spent hours on this website creating our future children. It is funny to see what our future baby will look like (guarantee they will probably look nothing like this). I am trying to listen to my motherly intuition to figure out whether we are having a boy or a girl, but quite frankly I'm stumped. When talking about the baby I always seem to call it a "her" or "she" but in my dreams it's a "him" or "he". I wish we could find out now! Feel free to make your own guesses and let me know!

Parents to be!!!

It is official, Jayson and I are going to be parents! I know this may come as a shock to many of you since I've been pulling the "I don't want to have kids for a LONG time" line, but truth be told, I have been lying. I've lied on numerous occasions to all the people that I love, all for the satisfaction of a great surprise. And oh baby it was worth it! Here is how the great news was revealed: Every Christmas eve my parents, as well as Jayson's parents give P.J.'s to all of the kids. So this year we told them that we went the extra mile and got them P.J.'s as well (this was also an attempt to become the favorite children). We first had Jayson's parents open their gift at our Christmas eve lunch, and then my parents that Christmas eve night. We wrapped up a way cute pair of new born P.J.'s that said "I love my Grandma" (as shown in the pic) along with the pregnancy test (which I took four times by the way) and a Dr.'s note stating that I was for sure pregnant. We knew if we didn't have proof that neither of our families would belive us. I completely bawled both times we shared the good news, but I felt better because so did everyone else. It was by far a memory I will never forget. It is crazy to think at the end of this summer Jayson and I will be taking on the responsibility of a new baby in our family, but I cant even wait! It is something we have both looked forward to our entire lives. We are due September 1st, but my OBGYN said we will be having an August baby. I will keep you posted on every exciting detail along the way!

Happy Thanksgiving Baby!

This past Thanksgiving weekend I must say was by far one of my favorites. Not only did we get to spend Thanksgiving with both of our families, but we got to spend alot of fun quality time together. First off, Jayson won tickets to the Jazz game on the night before Thanksgiving. We of course got all decked out in our Jazz gear and screamed our lungs out at the game. We then spent Thanksgiving with each of our families and then slept at our cabin in Causey Estates for the night. The following day Jayson and I woke up and got dressed in our warm gear and went out for a motorcycle ride (it was absolutely too cold to be out riding dirt bikes at this time of year but we had to take advantage of the mountains before it starts to snow). The following day we put up the Christmas lights and Christmas tree, went to the temple, and went straight to Salt Lake to another Jazz game with my family. I must say we were incredibly busy all week, but we had a heck of a lot of fun!

Okay so forgive me on not doing any updated photos. I just figured this whole blog thing out so I've been playing around a little bit. Yes I know it is Christmas time already and these are pictures from summer but since I didn't have this months ago I must up date you. All of these pictures are of fun activities we went and did the past few months. It was so fun this summer to be married and spending every second with Jayson. We spent most of the time camping hanging with friends and family and keeping each other company. I must say, being married is the best thing that happened to me. I always have someone to laugh and hang out with. Jayson and I have such a fun time together. We can always keep ourselves entertained no matter what we're doing.

It was so fun this Halloween spending time with our families. Every year my family goes to the pumpkin patch in Farmington and pick out our own pumpkins. This year we went back to my parents house to carve them and to make carmel apples. We didn't end up going to any Halloween dress-up parties this year so Jayson and I decided to dress up for this one. As you can see in the pictures we are the only ones, I am a baby (specifically I am my sister in laws baby girl who is due Jan 2)and Jayson was a cowboy. We thought we were pretty funny that night.
