Paiser Pie

9 months! Are you kidding me? 9 months already!? I am dying....literally dying at the thought of my little gus gus getting SO BIG! This post is one of those annoying mom posts where all they do is sit and brag about their child... So, with that said, feel free to read on or move onto the next exciting blog that has been updated! There are some cute pictures if that convinces you to read on....

Here are the facts:

Paislee started crawling around 8 months....Backwards!  haha it took her a couple of weeks to figure out that she can go forward, so technically she has been "normal crawling" since 8 1/2 months.  It's crazy once they learn to crawl how quickly they get fast and mobile.

She talks!  Well....the only real word she can say is Dad! It is so funny too, she says it perfect and in a very distinct way.  The best is laying in bed in the morning and hearing her in her crib yell, "Daaad!!!" Jayson can't help but get up to go get her (while I lay in bed and sleep a bit longer....haha)

Is she gonna be a dancer? Or a softball player? This is a debate Jayson and I have had quite frequently.  Well folks, I win!  Check out this girls skills already!  Anytime she hears something with a beat she stops WHATEVER she is doing and right on que she starts breaking it down....Well, as much as a 9 month old can... (this song she is dancing too is her FAVORITE!)

I couldn't figure out how to post a video so I put it on youtube under private so no one else can view it, but if you click this link it will take you right too it.

Paislee LOVES the piano.  When I was pregnant I would play the piano hoping she would hear the music and one day want to play the piano too, SO, once she was born I would put her in her swing and play for her and she would smile and love it.  As she got older she would start putting her arms up like she wanted to play with mommy.  I would sit her on my lap and she would bang on the keys while I played.  NOW, every time we walk past the piano and she sees it she puts her arms out and reaches for it.  I love playing, but not EVERY time I walk past the piano...  SO, I move the piano bench and lower her high chair and set her up to the piano so she can reach.  She will sit and play forever if I let her.  Look out everyone, the next future woman Mozart is on her way to stardom!

She is such a smarty pants. She catches onto things SO fast. When you ask "where is my noes?" she will point right too it.  Or in certain books I'll ask "where is the ducky?" or "where is the sun" and she can point to them too.  She loves doing patty cake, itsy bitsy spider, pointing at everything and saying "Oooooo!" when asked How big are you? She puts her hands in the air for SOOOO Big! And if you ask her the same question in Spanish, she does it to!

My sister-in-law Rachael starting teaching my way cute niece Kambree (if you haven't seen her your missing out cause she is SO cute!) sign languge. After seeing her do that I thought I would give it a try on Paislee, thinking she is probably too young to catch on yet. Low and behold! She is catching on SO fast! I have only taught her how to sign when she wants more of something and I can't believe she actually understands at this age that when she wants more of a treat or something to do the sign. She really is getting so smart! (Thanks Rach for the great idea!)

She is so good at standing by herself.  Her balance is amazing!(probably because Jayson would hold her with one hand and balance her standing from like 5 months on)  She still is too nervous to take any steps but she can stand by herself for a pretty long time.  I hope this doesn't mean she is going to walk soon..... I am totally not ready for that.

Since Paislee was born she has always been so content and happy all the time.  I thought once she got older it may change, but nope, she is still content as can be wherever we are.  I can't believe how easy going she is.  BUT, I have started to notice within the past couple of days she seems to be getting a little more snappy(just like her mama).  When she wants something, SHE WANTS IT.....NOW! haha her cute little personality is coming out more and more every day.

Paislee's sleeping habits have been great her whole life.  I feel like she sleeps more on a schedule now.  I never really pushed the schedule thing but she decided her schedule for herself which has been nice.  She goes to bed early around 8 give or take a few (and depending on if we are home or not) and will sleep till 7.  We'll give her a bottle and she'll sleep till 9.  She does AWESOME with her naps if we're home.  If we're not.....she has a hard time sometimes.  But overall, she does great! She usually has 2-3 really good naps. She never cries when she wakes up, she just sits in her crib and talks till someone comes and gets her.  Lately I have been walking into her room to check to see if she is still asleep and I find this......

Just standing there...Hanging out, not making a single peep!  The first couple of times it happened I was so surprised when I walked in the room.  Now it's pretty routine and I find it so stinkin cute.

I love being a mom to this beautiful little girl.  I am so thankful she is still so healthy and that everything has gone so well thus far in her life.  She truly is such a joy in our family and we cant imagine life without her.  I can't believe the next big special day in her life is her 1st birthday! AH! They grow up too fast!

  2. We HAVE to get together way soon!!! they are getting so big!! and there will have to be a dance party, because embree's got rhythm too. How cute would it be to see them both dancing at the same time! Maybe they could even have a jam session on the piano, she loves that too. They must be friends! haha already liking the same things. She sure sounds smart, already pointing to her nose and learning sign language! I can't believe this summer is going by so fast, but we will have to get together soon for real, because we are missing out!
