Jaycee's blessing

July 29th was a special day in the Adam household. Jaycee Jane was blessed by her daddy-o and we had a little party to celebrate. Jayson did such an amazing job and I feel so blessed to have a husband like him to father our children. It was a special day indeed!

Jaycee wore the same dress I wore when I was blessed 24 years ago! Paislee wore the same dress as well when she was blessed. What a special thing the three of us have to share :)

The Wood clain. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a picture of the Adam clan before people started leaving :( Let's just say there was alot of them. Love being apart of such a fun, big family!

We couldn't have asked for a better day with a better family to share it with.

My little dancer

I signed Paislee up for an 8 week summer dance camp. Oh man has she loved it! She looks forward to class every week and has done really well. It is so fun for me to watch her learn and have fun doing something I loved once doing as a child. She starts at Luv 2 Dance this next Tuesday and I cant even begin to tell you how excited I am for her Christmas recital already!

First day of dance class
Putting her tap shoes in her bag
Her favorite part of class was putting on the princess dress ups and dancing.

Oh so talented! haha

Fish Lake 2012

I was crossing my fingers after Jaycee was born that she would be a good one... Obviously for so many different reasons, but something that had been on my mind since the second I found out I was pregnant was "Would I be able to make it to the Fish Lake family trip?" I know, how ridiculous to be so concerned over making it to one camping trip when having a newborn. But seriously people this trip is THE BEST! Luckily I was feeling good and Jaycee has been just the greatest baby so it all worked out!

As you all know, from previous posts in the past, this trip consists of Fishing...

We caught like 6 or 7 fish on Paislee's princess pole!

We had more rain this year than ever before. Almost every day the fishing would end with us all huddled under the shade cover.

BUT, the fishing was hot this year so we couldn't pass it up!

We were only able to go on one fourwheeler ride this year due to the evenings full of rain! Luckily it would ben nice for a few hours in the morning to get some fishing in, but from 1:00 on it usually rained a good bit...

Sunday morning we hiked up to Bever pond which was a perfect hike for the little kids (and me, I'm so out of shape)
Good thing Jayson is in shape cause he ended up carrying both girls most of the way haha :)
Alot of time was spent relaxing and hanging out back at the trailer due to the extensive rainfall...

Jaycee's little spot...
Lots of intense games...

And a whole lotta injuries sustained by this little gal. She had wounds on like 7 parts of her body and over 10 bruises when we got home. Poor little goose takes after her mothers accident proneness.

No trip compares to the annual Fish Lake trip! I'm so thankful for my parents who put so much time and effort into planning and preparing for this trip each year. It really is something we look forward to every single year!

Fun festivities

Fourth of July this year couldn't have been better. Started the morning off at the West Point Parade which started at 8:00! It was such a perfect, laid back, non-hectic parade. I could just sit back and not be worried about my daughter being mawled by adult men stealing candy from kids (Kaysville parade material). Jaycee wasn't even one month old yet and was perfect all day long.
When the parade ended at 9:00 we figured we may as well go to the Kaysville Parade (even though last year I vowed I wouldn't go), but Paislee already had her fill of the West Point parade so I didn't care too much that people were stealing candy from my kid (yes I am one of those moms).

Still trying to figure out how to get those eyes to work....
The rest of the day was filled with swimming at Lanny's pool and fireworks at dear old Davis High
The following day we headed up to the all time best rodeo in Oakley. As tradition holds, we got a                                  bite to eat at Taggarts and headed up for an exciting rodeo!

Once again, Jaycee was a trooper and slept through the entire thing. I had no idea if I would be able to make it to all these fun family traditions with a less than 1 month old, but thankfully I was blessed with another amazing, EASY baby.
